Ambassador Summer School 2011 |
|
DIRECTIONS: http://www.ballyhouraforestluxuryhomes.com/explore-ballyhoura/our-location-map.html
This year's Ambassador Summer School will be held in Ballyhoura Forest from Tuesday 23rd August through to Thursday 25th August 2011.
This is how our Programme Director tried to capture the essence in a recent conversation:
"Tangible Ireland Summer School will be running again this year in Ballyhoura, Co Limerick on Tuesday 23rd-Thursday 25th August. Essentially, the first day will be practical how tos of leadership - methodologies, skills, tips and hints for the leadership toolbox. Day two will be built around case studies and presentations by people (also within the group) who have or are applying these leadership skills to real challenges and day three, which is a half day, will be looking to the future, building on all the discussions that have gone before - if the Tangible Network is serious about being a force for change, what if anything are we actually prepared to do, or do differently as we leave the Summer School?
The venue is superbly tranquil - literally no mobile signal not to mind wi fi so it's a couple of days 'unplugged' and spending time with truly interesting people generating energy, ideas, and inspiration. It's a residential school (if you choose to stay) but based on last year's experience the group tends to be quite fluid with a core who stay and participate throughout and others who opt in for smaller portions."
DAY ONE: Tuesday 23rd August
Go to work or office, clear the desk, delegate what can be delegated, offload what can be offloaded, make for the door between 9 and 11am.
Drive via M8 Motorway, train, bus or hitch a lift to beautiful Ballyhoura and feel the stress drop off, the creative juices begin to flow, the inner excitement will begin to build as you embark on a few days for your personal development and to make a contribution to the wider debate about where we are going and the optimum ways of getting there.
At 2.30pm meet fellow participants, learn leadership tools, insights and approaches! Enjoy the surroundings, casual evening meal in Ballyhoura forest.
We may even get you to cook the pasta, boil the kettle or set the table.
DAY TWO: Wednesday 24th August
Woken by the birds, enthused by the surroundings, go for a walk and take in the ambience of this tranquil Irish setting in the foothills of Ballyhoura mountain.
Relaxed breakfast, get dressed for 'school' and stroll down the forest path to our Focal Point: An Lár-JFK
Engage in Impacts Sessions, listen to Guest Speakers, partake in Café Conversations
After school take some 'me ' time and be ready to go to Kilmallock for our Networking BBQ at 7.30pm where we meet local business and civic leaders and discuss how collaboration can help us all tackle the challenges ahead.
DAY THREE: Thursday 25th August
Leisurely breakfast, revisit what we have learned, listen to Guest Speaker and then begin the process
of looking forward to what differences we might make in the years ahead.
Relax with fellow participants before you head back into the main stream, bring some nuggets of wisdom or knowledge with you having made new friends who also have a passion about what they are trying to do.
The Participation fee ranges from €350.00 to €550.00 for the whole event including Food and Accommodation for two nights.
Day passes are available which include Attendance at Presentations, Coffee Breaks and Lunch for that day only. Day passes range from €120.00 to €200.00.
If you have special circumstances or specific requirements please contact us and we will do our utmost to facilitate your participation.
If you require accommodation please contact us immediately.
